Hello My Beauties! My name is Kim Richard owner and creative mind behind Natural Roots LLC as well as Wife, Mother, Breast Cancer Warrior and proud Veteran of the United States Army! I would love to personally welcome you to your new home for your hair, skincare, body and wellness needs.

Natural Roots got its start after my wonderful husband encouraged me to go natural (to wear my hair in its natural state without chemicals). His exact words were “I want to see the real you” (hence is where we got our motto from “Embrace The Real You!”) so after relaxing my hair since the 7th grade I decided to put down the creamy crack and embrace the way my hair grew naturally. But, in the meantime, while I was transitioning I did A LOT of research on hair, products, and hairstyles which made me fall in love even more with my hair that gave me a sense of pride and belonging.

I started to make DIY recipes for my hair because of one... I wanted my hair to be healthy as possible and two.... the store bought products would leave flakes in my hair (which drove me absolutely crazy) and it wasn’t long before friends and family started to ask me to make handmade products for them and yes you guessed it Natural Roots was born.
